With the 99th edition of the PGA Championship set to kick off on August 13, official timekeeper Omega is debuting two new models in their Seamaster Aqua Terra Golf Series. These watches are dedicated to the brand’s golf ambassadors: Sergio Garcia and Rory McIllroy.

The watches use the new, striped NATO straps in place of the steel link bracelet or calfskin leather strap. The Sergio Garcia model comes in the green and black rendition, while Rory McIllroy will feature orange and black. The watches also have a more horizontal motif on the dials, which is sunbrushed black on the Garcia edition, or silvery white on the McIlroy one. The date window has been moved from the 3 o’clock marker, to the 6 o’clock marker. The hands and hour indices feature white SuperLumiNova, allowing the watch to remain legible even in darkness.

Within the watches’ 41-mm case, the movement is powered by Omega’s co-axial Master Chronometer Caliber 8900, meeting the official chronometer standards of COSC, in addition to the criteria of Omega’s METAS certification. It can resist magnetic fields up to a level of 15,000 gauss. It is backed up by a 60-hour power reserve in a pair of connected spring barrels.

The PGA Championship’s Omega pop-up concept shop at Quail Hollow was where guests can find the new watches. Full retail availability is expected in September, with prices still pending announcement.
