Rolex Holds on to Spot as Most Valuable Watch Brand
The marketing research firm, Kantar Millward Brown issues a regular report on the world’s leading brands by estimated value. The Top 100 list includes the world’s top 100 brands by brand equity. It also ranks brands in specific product categories such as luxury.
The 315-page 2017 report confirms that Rolex continues to remain the world’s most valuable watch brand, with an estimated value of $8.053 billion. This estimate was based on a formula that factors financial information and consumer surveys. These also include interviews from more than 3 million consumers in 50 global markets in addition to data from Bloomberg and Kantar Worldpanel.
Rolex is actually not among the top 100 general brands, but is the only luxury brand with a sole product focus on watches.
