Since the first presidency, time has played a role in telling the stories of presidents throughout American history. Current president, Donald Trump started his own line of watches in 2005-2006. The watches quickly went out of production as their low-priced, low-style promotions did not receive favorable responses from collectors. Other American presidents have been spotted wearing watches ranging across a spectrum of models and brands. Dwight D. Eisenhower wore a Rolex Day-Date introduced in 1956, John F. Kennedy wore a Cartier given to him by his wife, George W. Bush wore a Timex, and Obama wore a TAG Heuer.
