Most Expensive Watches From Europe
Expensive and Rare Watch Brands from Europe
Watches are crazy expensive, we think of the Rolexes and Omega watches and most would say “No, I will never afford one of those.” But do you know it gets more ridiculous than that? There are still a more exclusive group of rare, expensive watches that can cost more than a supercar. Here is a list of some of them.
Patek Philippe Ref 5016P
That’s right, the Patek Philippe Ref 5016P comes up to a total of $762,000, an amount that can afford you a college education at six private schools. The watch is part of the Patek brand line, and it is one that has minimal requirements for adjustment. In fact, the motor on this piece can last well into the next century. By then, it will probably cost in the millions.
Breguet Marie Antoinette
The watch, dubbed “Marie Antoinette” was a personal design of Mr. Breguet himself. It contains a self winding motor, minute repeater, perpetual calendar, equation of time, power reserve, bimetallic thermometer, chime, pare-chute – it was essentially the smartphone of its time. The watch was a 40-year process in the making and whose designers and namesake did not live to see its completion. The original watch was lost, but a replica was produced based on its images. You will likely never see this watch in your possession, because Breguet has so far turned down bids for the replica despite some of those offers numbering in the millions.
Louis Moinet Meteoris Watch
The Meteoris collection from Louis Moinet contains 5 of the most expensive watches in the world. Some of these pieces contain fragments from the rare Dhofar 459 meteorite, which fell from the Moon to the Earth thousands of years ago. Other watches in the collection contain pieces of the Itqiy meteorite and Sahara 99555. If you want a little piece of space on your wrist, prepare your wallet or purse for a whopping $4 million price tag.
