Citizen Looking to Expand Appeal with $18000 Timepieces

In order to expand and diversify their customers – and appeal to those with deeper pockets – Citizen is looking to make acquisitions that could lead to $18000 watches added to their lineup. The Japanese watchmaker is considering acquisitions in the luxury segment, those that specialize in selling watches at or above 2 million yen, or $18,300 dollars. Chief Executive Toshio Tokura states that while the company does not yet have a set timeline in making purchases, the company is keeping an keen interest in the smartwatch segment.
