Omega Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch
Debuting in 1969, the Omega Speedmaster Professional made history along with the Apollo 11 astronauts by being the first watch to be worn on the moon. This particular timepiece was evaluated by NASA themselves and determined to be flight-capable for manned spaceflights. This made it a legendary addition to Omega’s historic line of watches.
After six years, the watch was also featured in a collaboration between U.S. and Soviet astronauts during the 1975 Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. The “Moonwatch” is the latest example of a limited-edition Omega Speedmaster timepiece, which commemorates the 35th anniversary of the project.
