New Casio G-Shock Watches Invoke 90s Style Aesthetics
The Casio G-Shock line has just seen a couple of new additions in the form of watches inspired by 90s colors and clothing. Debuting under the name of DW-5600THS and GA-2100THS, the new G-Shock watches utilize various shades of blue and purple to fill in the black base. G-Shock moderated the use of the blue and purple by applying it in small key areas of the watch, including the face trim and rubber strap accents.
The G-Shock further pushes the retro visuals by showcasing a sporty nylon Velcro strap on the DW-5600THS as well as a blue-red replacement band on the GA-2100THS. The purple can also be seen on the packaging, as the watch box and cardboard box sport the blue and purple themes, allowing the prospective buyer a preview of what to expect inside the package.
Interested Casio collectors can find the DW-5600THS and GA-2100THS available for a price of ¥17,050 and ¥19,250 JPY (or $155 and $175 USD), respectively.
