Omega’s major draw at Baselworld was the celebration of the 60th anniversary of its Speedmaster collection. In addition, the Swiss company has introduced several new additions to their other watch lines. This includes the Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean, or “Deep Blue”. The new model is a diver’s watch produced from blue ceramic and is equipped with GMT.

The new watch was created based off the success of the “Deep Black” editions of the Planet Ocean series. They were the first ceramic-cased divers’ watches created with 600 meter water-resistant features. With “Deep Blue”, Omega is making their first watch with a case and dial to be developed entirely from blue ceramic. Orange colors can also be observed on the 24-hour GMT scale around the dial. The rotating divers’ bezel has a diving scale that is produced from a combination of orange rubber and ceramic. Blue is also highlighted on the central GMT hand as well as the numerals on the 12, 6, and 9 o’clock positions. Finally, the hour, minute hand, and applied hour indices are lined with 18k white gold.
