Giro d’Italia Celebrates a new Partnership With Tissot Watches
Giro d’Italia and Tissot
Global Watch Brand Tissot has partnered with the prestigious Triple Crown Giro D’Italia to create one of the first timekeeping devices in history to be showcased alongside the three largest bicycle tours. Tissot is now one of the official sponsors of ASO’s three largest cycling races as well as the Tour of Germany.
The Giro d’Italia kicks off on May 9 in Budapest and will start with an individual time trial that is sponsored by this watch brand. The course continues along the east coast of Italy finishing in the lawn with individual time trials taking place in Piazza del Duomo. Wrapping up on May 31, the new official partner will ensure that there are a series of riders in the event officially sponsored by the brand and that the timekeeping will be taken on by the company as well.
Tissot announced recently that becoming the official timekeeper of the event makes them one of the first official worldwide partners of cycling events of this magnitude. The involvement of Tissot in this sporting event like the Giro ensures that the technical capacity of the products will be on display and the emotional values of the sport can be highlighted. The team performance as well as the individual performance will be on display here and with precise timekeeping, the company will offer the best presentation throughout the Giro.
In the new partnership as a timekeeper, Tissot is interested in demonstrating the precision of its watches in all of these events and plans on launching an official product to go alongside the event. The celebrations will begin with the launching of the Tissot Chrono XL Giro d’italia edition 2020. This is a 45 mm chronograph that has been painstakingly designed as a celebration of the partnership between Giro and Tissot.
