Hublot Will Debut a New Watch Designed by Yohji Yamamoto
Hublot watch by Yohji Yamamoto
Japanese fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto will be working exclusively with Hublot to design an all-black version of the Big Bang watch. The latest version of this matte black Hublot watch will be stamped personally be the designer and designed with the ethos in mind of “Invisible visibility”. When the designer set out with the concept of this watch, it was with the idea of making a timepiece that would be inconspicuous. The darker hue and the design features are made to be especially difficult to spot from afar.
Only 50 pieces of this watch will be produced and the tones of matte and black ceramic are created with a subtlety that also includes a smoked sapphire crystal design. The signature of the designer appears on the symbol for 6 o’clock.
Time zones on the watch can be adjusted easy with a quick button push. The HUB1251 movement ensures that a series of intelligent options can be preprogramed for easy adjustment. The hours are invisible and the watch design is made to be a product which is invisible and designed for fashion rather than for flash.
Yohji Yamamoto is widely considered to be a private person and an even more private designer, when speaking about his newest creation however he was far from shy. He finds the watch highly amusing and is looking forward to its release.
The design not only commemorates the work of Yohji Yamamoto but also the flagship boutique launch that is happening in Chuo-dori street in Ginza Tokyo. The latest boutique opens up the market for Hublot to deliver Tokyo specific launches and offer a new launching point for their watches across the market in this area.
If you are interested in getting your hands on this ultra-exclusive, luxury, watch, be sure to watch out for its release when the store officially opens.
