FedEx Cup Champion Rory McIlroy’s Green Omega Seamaster Diver 300M
Omega have launched a new Seamaster watch, with Rory McIlroy. This watch has been designed for sport specifically, and it has also had numerous tweaks to make it one of the finest watches in the line-up to date. The new line aims to add a lot of comfort during times of stiff competition, and it also builds on the innovation of previous designs. The case is made out of stainless steel and the dial is green ceramic.
The Power Reserve
With a power reserve of 55 hours and sapphire crystal glass, it is safe to say that this is an Omega watch for the ages. It comes with an iconic green rubber strap along with a green ceramic bezel. The brands are known for their iconic releases, including the Seamaster and the Speedmaster. Both of them have been around for quite some time. If you look at the Seamaster, you will see that this takes a lot of its style and capability from the world of diving.
The Speedmaster Case
The case is 42mm and it comes complete with mechanic movement. On the right-hand side, you have the traditional screw-down crown, and you also have a helium escape valve as well. If you intend to dive to extreme depths then gases can build up, forcing the crystal out of place while also causing numerous other damages to the watch.
With this design, the helium escape helps to prevent this from being the case. The material is also used a lot in the aeronautical industry, due to the highly resistant properties. This means that the watch construction is both harder and lighter when compared to titanium.
Some golfers will be wearing the watch at the Omega Masters training, and it only weighs 55g. The watch is a testament to the quality that Omega are able to put out, time and time again.
