August 12, 2022 at 12:54 am

The latest edition of the G-Shock will be launching at Augustine in Los Angeles in an event that can’t be missed. G-Shock is now in its third year of producing incredible tribute watches for shows and for the collecting public. The latest watch is a quartz timepiece that is going to pay a special tribute to the history of space exploration. G-Shock has revamped the DW 5600 digital watch and built an edition launching through Augustine in LA.

Augustine is an LA boutique known for exclusive watch drops and the limited edition G-Shock showing up here first is no mistake. Jay Partow designed this watch and he has produced a snappy version of the streetwear G-Shock that comes in a NASA orange with the perfect fit and flash to get noticed. This is the perfect collectors piece for this boutique and the ideal edition that will draw people in the door.

The Casing

The previous all white special edition of the G-Shock sold out within just a few hours and sneakerheads are looking for something new to get their hands on with this incredible release. The resin case of the previous edition will come with the edition as well and the band will be done in a commemorative orange jumpsuit style. Instead of the case coming in black or white, the case is also adorned in a blue, orange and American flag themed design.

Much like previous editions of the watch, the special edition comes with solar functionality and multi-band 6 atomic movement timekeeping. The 24 hour timekeeping features, alarms, calendar and countdown timing make it one of the finest outfitted watches on the market. The series will also automatically dim and shut off displays based on lighting condition and activate backlights when required for viewing. Battery consumption on this watch is quite intelligent. With up to 10 months of power on a rechargeable battery and 22 months with regular light exposure, this is a long-lasting timepiece.

200M of Water Resistance

The G-Shock GWM5610NASA22-4 will be offering serious toughness with up to 200m of water resistance and a steel screw down caseback. The caseback is instantly recognizable if you change out the band of this watch too as it features an engraved astronaut. Not many will be removing the iconic band however as it is the same resin material and construction that US issued government watches for NASA are produced with.

This is now the third digital G-Shock produced for limited edition space inspiration by Casio. It looks like something that can be worn at high altitude and it is aesthetically striking. The product release is starting on august 5th with the storefront grand opening in the LA location. The boutique orange “Spaceshock” style Casio is up for preorder now. Augustine is also offering a 12 oz. tote and free shipping for orders over $99 giving you the best opportunity to grab this watch at $170USD.
