Limited Edition PADI King Turtle Dive Watch from Seiko Coming in 2026

June 7, 2026 at 11:34 pm

Seiko has announced the Prospex HBB002, a limited edition dive watch that celebrates two important milestones: the 60th anniversary of PADI in 2026 and the tenth year of collaboration between Seiko and the world’s largest recreational diving training organization. Based on the popular King Turtle platform, the new release combines familiar dive watch functionality with commemorative design elements inspired by the partnership.

A Distinct Dial Inspired from PADI’s 60h Anniversary Branding

The most distinctive feature of the Prospex HBB002 is its dial. Drawing inspiration from PADI’s 60th anniversary branding, the watch incorporates blue and red accents alongside a globe motif that extends across the dial surface. A red central seconds hand and matching red “Diver’s 200m” text above the six o’clock position reinforce the anniversary theme. Applied hour markers and broad hands are filled with Lumibrite for enhanced visibility in low-light conditions, while a day-date display sits at three o’clock beneath a cyclops magnifier integrated into the sapphire crystal.

King Turtle Case Design

The watch retains the established King Turtle case design. Measuring 45 mm in diameter and 13.2 mm thick, the stainless steel cushion-shaped case features a screw-down crown positioned at four o’clock, alternating brushed and polished finishes, and water resistance rated to 200 meters. A blue ceramic bezel insert adds durability and complements the dial’s color scheme.

Powering the watch is Seiko’s automatic Calibre 4R36 movement. Operating at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it offers approximately 41 hours of power reserve and includes both hacking seconds and hand-winding functionality.

The Prospex HBB002 will be supplied with a stainless steel bracelet featuring a diver’s extension, along with an additional black silicone strap printed with the full Professional Association of Diving Instructors name. Production will be limited to 8,000 pieces worldwide, with availability scheduled for July 2026. Priced at $750, the watch offers collectors and diving enthusiasts a commemorative edition built on one of Seiko’s most established and capable dive watch platforms.
